While my day job consists mainly of front and back-end web design, I also consult independently creating web sites for various entities. Web design is a bit philosophical for me. I think it is important to make that 3-second impression that so many of us are familiar with, but one must also connect with the visitor and give them a feeling of respect while delivering ease-of-use.

Too many sites strive to "wow and flash" the visitor with overdone graphics and too much animation, but like anything, moderation and simplicity are the keys to creating a pleasant surfing experience. My design encompasses these ideas, while paying attention to the web standards of navigation and placement that we've come to know and depend on.
